TAG, the Travel Advocacy Group, is a collection of LGBTQ+ welcoming accommodations that have completed a qualification process based on their employment policies, services and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

TAG Approved® was created in 1998 by IGLTA member Community Marketing & Insights, which has proudly provided our industry with research and training since 1992. The program will now evolve into a new chapter within our global association, while maintaining its commitment to providing accommodations with better ways to serve LGBTQ+ travelers.

TAG Approved® Membership

TAG Approved® Accommodations, founded in 1998, is the largest and oldest program of its kind, entirely dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ welcoming hotels, resorts and B&Bs around the world. With approximately 500 participating hotels meeting six “best practices” qualifications, the TAG Approved® program provides practical, affordable benefits to help your property better understand, serve and cost‐effectively reach meeting professionals, tour operators, travel agents and consumers throughout the United States, Canada and beyond.

Who is Eligible?

We are currently only accepting renewal applications from properties who have previously been registered as TAG Approved. If you are a new property who has never been TAG Approved, please contact us for more information.

TAG Approved membership dues are valid from the date of joining for 12 months. Upon the end of your 12-month period, you must renew to maintain your TAG Approved membership. Please note that TAG Approved nor IGLTA, inc. and its board of directors do not endorse or accept responsibility for any individual members, product or service.
